Doug was a counselor in the early 90's, and returned as the Tripping Director in 1997. After spending five years full time at other camps, Doug returned to his home at Camp Roger in 2002. Doug's love for God's world and God's children is evident from the moment you meet him. Doug's experience and vision for Camp Roger equip him well as he challenges and supports the staff in their interactions with campers and guests alike. His constant concern for the safety of children is coupled with his desire to see them grow spiritually and emotionally.
Should he ever get away from Camp for a brief moment, his wife and two children keep him busy...along with his love for wrenching in the garage.

Since Phil's arrival at Camp Roger in 2000, the outdoor adventure program became reality. His love for nature and helping children discover God's world shines during the adventure course and nature center events he facilitates. Being out in the woods with Phil is like nothing anyone has experienced before.
Thankfully, Phil doesn't sit at a desk. Spending much of his time with campers, counselors and guests alike, Phil's countenance and attitude are a welcome shower of grace for all who know him. Fortunately for Phil, his family enjoys the woods as much as he does. Or, close enough anyway.

Matt arrived at Camp Roger in the spring of 2007. Camp Roger rescued him from life as a banker, and he's forever grateful. A versatile guy, Matt can fix a plumbing problem one minute and take kids on a wetlands hike to the bog the next. In fact, this website would be in big trouble without his growing knowledge of Joomla. Any time Matt has a spare few minutes he is busy trying to come up with the next crazy Joe's Big Race challenge.
Matt and his wife Amy were blessed with beautiful twin daughters in the summer of 2010. They also have an adorable son named Micah who is already showing a great appreciation for the outdoors, and is counting down the days until he gets to go deer hunting with his dad.

As we all know by this point, if it wasn't for the efforts of Kathy, there would be no organization. It is her work that balances the books, prints paychecks and ensures that Doug doesn't forget important tasks. Since taking on the role of Development Director, Kathy has taken the lead on fund-raising, helping us to meet some lofty goals.
Gratefully, she lives only a few miles down the road so she gets to experience much of her life within the 10 square miles near Camp's property. It's also really handy in case someone accidentally did leave the light on.

Deb is the newest member to our year round staff. When you call camp she will likely be the voice that welcomes your call. Deb has a great history with camp. As a camper herself, she had eight summers spent at camp. In fact, she left a part of herself behind during her last visit as a camper. She lost a tooth in Pickerel Lake and never found it back!
Deb has a husband and four wonderful children. Her three oldest have all been campers at Camp Roger, and her youngest eagerly awaits his turn!
We are thankful to have such a capable person, who loves Camp Roger so much, taking charge of this role at Camp.
